A Note from the Chair:October 2012
Dear Friends, Welcome to the new Genesee County Democratic Committee website! Here in Genesee County, NY, voters have made it clear they are ready for a choice in their local politics. For too long our local governments have been ruled by one party, with little chance for other views. We are here to fight for that choice by competing in races across the county. We support candidates who share our commitment and the values of the Democratic Party, which include integrity, compassion, and fairness. To achieve these goals we need you to join us. Whether you want to help out by donating, running for local office, or through outreach, party building, or work on elections, we want you! Please contact us for more information. This website is a work-in-progress, and through it we endeavor to offer resources regarding the local Democratic Party. Currently, we offer our contact information if you wish to get involved, links to support President Barack Obama and Congresswoman Kathy Hocul in their re-election efforts, the ability to donate to the Committee, and information about local Democratic candidates. Eventually, we will have individual pages for the Democratic Committees in each town in Genesee County, links to information resources, and election and voter registration information. Remember that all Democrats are invited and encouraged to attend meetings! Also, feel free to join us on Facebook and Twitter (via Judith Hunter) for discussion and more information! Warm regards, Lorie Longhany |
